- Sydney Antolini, M.S., R.D., L.D., C.S.P.C.C., is a pediatric clinical dietitian in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Children's National Hospital. She completed her undergraduate degree in dietetics at the University of Dayton. She went on to earn her master's degree in nutrition and complete her dietitian internship through the University of Mississippi's coordinated program with an emphasis on pediatric nutrition. She is an involved member of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group. She is a board-certified specialist in Pediatric Critical Care (CSPCC).

Sydney Blakeslee, M.S., R.D., is a clinical dietitian at Children’s National Hospital. She completed a five-year combined bachelor and master of science program at D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY. Sydney obtained her B.S.+M.S., degree in dietetics in May of 2019. She became a registered dietitian in July of 2019. Sydney started her career at Children’s National in September 2019. Currently, she is the full-time outpatient clinical dietitian.
Her interests lie in pediatric weight management and promoting optimal nutritional health. She is currently a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). Sydney hopes to one day be a board-certified specialist in pediatric nutrition, and also certified in childhood and adolescent weight management. She looks forward to continuing and expanding her knowledge in all areas of pediatric nutrition.

Suzanne (aka Suzie) Bruels, M.P.H., R.D., L.D., is an outpatient dietitian working at Children’s National in the Special Immunology clinic working with patients who are living with HIV. She completed her bachelor's degree in food science and nutrition from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Wa and her dietetic internship at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Or. Suzie has a diverse background of work experiences including working as a WIC dietitian and lactation counselor, serving as a Peace Corps volunteer, working with patients living with HIV and five years of overseeing a community kitchen that makes meals from scratch for kids and seniors in need. Recently, Suzie received her Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

- Jessica Cavall, M.S., R.D., currently works as an outpatient dietitian specializing in hematology, oncology, and stem cell transplant. She earned her undergraduate degree as a double major in Communication and Spanish from Rutgers University, her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University, and completed her dietetic internship at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her experience includes pediatric oncology and transplant both inpatient and outpatient settings as well as critical care. Sarah Davis, R.D., C.N.S.C., C.S.P., L.D., completed undergraduate training at Missouri State University with a degree in Health Sciences and Nutrition and later completed her didactic requirements at Fontbonne University. Sarah completed her Dietetics Internship at St. Louis University. After completing her dietetic internship at St. Louis University, Sarah started her career with the adult cardiac population at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. In 2012, she moved to the Washington, D.C., area and began working in general pediatrics and gastroenterology at Children’s National. She transitioned back to the cardiac population in 2014 and has found her passion working in the cardiac ICU. She has a special interest in the single ventricle population and is the primary RD for the home monitoring program as well as a member of the feeding work group with NPC-QIC (National Pediatric Cardiology Quality Improvement Collaborative). She is also a member of the PCICS (Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society) nutrition group.

She completed her bachelor’s degree and combined dietetic internship and master’s degree at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. Her master’s degree research focused on identifying obesity risk factors for Hispanic 3–5-year-old children; she looks forward to working with families from this population as well as others in the IDEAL clinic to improve their health.

- Nikki Potolicchio, RD, CSP, LD, completed undergraduate training at the College of the Holy Cross with a degree in Psychology and later completed her didactic requirements as well as a Dietetics Internship at the University of Maryland. She started her career at Children’s National Hospital in 2014 in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit. She worked in those departments for 8.5 years. Nikki became the Inpatient Lead Dietitian in 2020 and then became the Clinical Nutrition Manger in 2023.

Sara Preisendanz, M.S., R.D., L.D., undergraduate training at Clarkson University with a degree in BioMolecular Science and later fulfilled didactic requirements at New York University. She completed her Dietetic Internship and earned her Master’s Degree in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University. As a clinical dietitian she has worked in ICU, renal and liver transplant, oncology, bariatrics, genetics and many others. Sabrina Riordan, R.D.N., L.D.N., is a clinical outpatient dietitian at Children’s National Hospital working in diabetes, IDEAL, muscular dystrophy, and CANDO clinics. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nutrition and food science with a concentration in Dietetics from University of Maryland, College Park. She then went on to complete her dietetic internship at University of Virginia Health System, which specialized in pediatrics and nutrition support. Kristen Sgambat, Ph.D., R.D., is a registered dietitian nutritionist and has provided medical nutrition therapy to children with kidney disease at Children’s National Hospital since 2002. She received her Ph.D. in nutrition from the University of Maryland and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Nephrology. Her studies have focused on cardiovascular outcomes in children with CKD and after kidney transplant, as well as effects of carnitine supplementation on cardiovascular function in children receiving HD and CRRT.

She completed her undergraduate degree in Nutrition Sciences at Syracuse University. She completed her dietetic internship at New York Presbyterian. She is a Certified Diabetes Educator and has worked alongside the Diabetes team to open the Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes Clinic. She continues to research the correlation between blood glucose control and lung function.
